ISAAC’S “TOGETHER SERIES” in Partnership with
Christ Our Redeemer AME (COR)
ISAAC, in partnership with COR, launched “The Together Series” in January 2015 to continue the bilateral dialogue that began at ISAAC’s 6th Symposium last November.
- “Together We Can Breathe: Racial Solidarity” took place on Saturday January 31st at Christ Our Redeemer Church (See the coverage in Christianity Daily by Rachael Lee).
- “Together Cook & View” (Fresh off the Boat episode #1), Saturday March 7, 2015.
- “Together We Revive: Retelling the Azusa Street Revival and Little Tokyo”
TOGETHER SERIES #2
Together Cook & View (FOB #1)
Koinonia is oneness often expressed in a homogeneous table-fellowship based on strict hierarchical social codes. Jesus, however, broke strict social codes of table fellowship and turned them into a radically inclusive space. ISAAC and COR desires to continue this radical table fellowship by promoting deep dialogue as we share in eating and critical discussion of current and past issues. “Together Cook & View,” is an intentional, intersectional space of Ethnicity, Generation, and Gender (EGG) to deepen dialogue of cultural significance. By cooking, viewing FOB episode #1, and reflecting on its racial, social and spiritual significance, we envision rich dialogue toward intercultural koinonia.
