ISAAC’s 5th Symposium revisited the theme of “Healing of Memories,” this time in the dimension of the psychological wounds as a result of financial crises and struggles in the personal and church life.
A special panel was convened and workshops were held by Albert Hung, Shana Won, Jeffrey Wong and Sal Mendoza on a variety of topics related to finances and the church.
Bishop Roy Sano (United Methodist Church), a pioneer Japanese American pastoral theologian who has bridged church and academy and whose legacy has reached many Asian American spiritual leaders today, was honored. Rev. Mark Nakagawa of Centenary United Methodist Church (Los Angeles, CA) introduced the Bishop to us. ISAAC Board Member Russell Moy presented the award.
