Uncovering the Mary of Nazareth Hidden From Us with Kay Higuera Smith

In this episode of 'When Women Preach,' hosts Cris Otonari and Young Lee Hertig engage with Dr. Kay Higuera-Smith, who discusses her extensive research on Mary of Nazareth. The conversation explores the importance of a gynocentric interpretive lens in biblical hermeneutics, the active role of women in the Bible, and the implications of these insights for modern women leaders in faith communities. Dr. Higuera-Smith emphasizes the need to recognize the agency of women in scripture and challenges traditional patriarchal interpretations, advocating for a more inclusive understanding of biblical narratives.

Great post, it made me reflect on my own struggles with learning. The HESI exam feels so tough that I even thought to search “pay someone take my hesi exam for me,” and reading this gave me a sense of motivation to keep focusing on real understanding.
